Timothy Devine is a New York and Washington DC based photographer who specializes in recreating scenes from American life with a twist. Someone once described his work as "Norman Rockwell with a hangover". Timothy likes to order people around and demands his own director's chair at all shoots. His work is staged and takes lots of people to make it happen. Without his talented team of producers, location scouts and stylists he would be very lonely.
Timothy wears boxers, loves his life, and has a cat named after J.Lo's bodyguard circa 2002.
Timothy's photographs have appeared in Time, People, New York Magazine, ESPN, and The Washington Post Magazine, among others, and he has shot for major international clients including Samsung, Eli Lilly and Heineken. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, American Photo, and Photo District News. Most recently, he was included in the 2010 American Photography Annual 27.
